Has any one read the article in cube magazine called "i was an adult pokefan?"

While that is an ammusing opening paragraph to the article it definatly highlights the truth. It is social suicide for anyone over the age of 12 to be seen playing pokemon these days. I wasted many many hours of my life on the original games when it was most popular in 1999. Although the figures wud suggest that this isnt the case with over 1 million copies sold within the first week of fire and leaf going on sale.

It seems that with pokemon being one of nintendos key franchises and a profit making one to that it will still be around for the near future.So do any of you still play the games the core part of the pokemon franchise or do you shun the gamers that still play it?

Haha I have to admit i used to watch the cartoon...................................... it was the only anime on tv at that time in the uk and it was damn addictive

yeah. i use to watch it as well. Ther wasnt anything else on i liked around that time so i ust use to watch it. As for games well i still play them sometimes

I don't watch the show but I like the movies...pathetic that I'm 18 and I do this.

You have to be pretty specific.

Pokemon, Digimon, Beyblades... basically, any kiddy anime u.u;;;

Most anime is more... adult based.

Anyways, I'm playing my Pokemon Ruby right now ^o^

i still play its fun to hav a battle on my way home from college i dnt care what peeps think of me they can get stuffed its my life isnt it? sod them play pokemon with pride!!

I watch it and Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Basically anything that moves ^_^;;.
I like it, and I'll tell people I do. I have the Sonic, and Digimon movies. Not seen Pokemon ones yet although it's on my to-do list
