First off I am not a very good writer, so please bear with me on this I will do my best.
This story is of my character Grave following the events of DMs 6th story.
I like in depth stories so I am going to put the hierarchy of the undead so u may get the feel for what I am saying. I am working on this at home and at college so I may be a bit slow in getting it up. I am slow at stuff like this so please again bear with me there to.
The hierarchy of the Undead (to me) From lowest ranks to highest
Orbs: These small balls of light are what zoom around on cameras and appear in pictures. Not much is known about these, even to highest of Undead ranks.
Ghosts/Apparitions: Although not true Undead, they still are a step above Orbs. These are just lost spirits that have been not claimed by a Guardian or have not fulfilled there goal for life.
Minions: What can I say? They are small, weak, and really annoying to have around. Good for distractions to take the upper hand. These are the servants of the Guardians and up. Good for cleaning and mixing drinks also.
Serpents: The undead armies pets. U may be thinking living serpents, well that is where u are worng, very very wrong. These are long ago dead speaices of agressive fighters. Now brought back to seave the Grim Reaper. These facts have not been proven as none have lived long enough to tell about them.
Zombies: Slow rotting corpses brought back by the Lich to serve them. They live by feeding off the life energy from living beings.
Skeletons: Brian dead knights of the Undead Army. Only know how to attack and die. Under skeletons are: Skull Nights, Skull Marksmen, and Skull Assassins, and highest is the Skull Casters. Skeletons are also brought up from Necromancers.
Banshees: Restless souls. Like ghosts/apparitions they have unfulfilled duties from life. The difference is they can kill.
Demons: Although not Undead, demons can be summoned by higher ranking Undead. More associated with Hell, they will do as they are told until their time on the earth is up. These include Hell Hounds and Internals.
Deathevn: Riding on steads of bone, these Zombie like knights are some the fastest units in the army. Able to use low level magic and have the Killing Edge type swords.
Necromancers: Human priests who have turned to the Dark Arts to help with never ending search for power. Making a pact with the Grim Reaper, their soul for more power. Unknown to them yes they got more power, but they have no memories of who or what they were before, only thought is to obey the Grim Reaper.
Lich: There is only ever one Lich in existence at a time. When a Necromancer thinks he is read to go up a rank, he must face the current Lich to prove his worth. The battles are bloody, and to the deathâ¦.. again. The winner is now the new Lich.
Guardians: There only duty is protect their wealth they had in life from robbers. Other then that, nothing else.
Soul Reapers: What can I say they guard their own souls and others that have died with them. Normally created in a mass tragedy, many were created from WW1, and WW2. Wielders or the Soul Eater scythes. Look as though they are the Reaper himself except for the scythe and size.
Grave Guardians: Rarely seen to the living. They have all the powers of the Soul Reapers, other lower ranking Guardians, the Lich, and Necromancers. Second in command only to the Grim Reaper himself. As the name says they are ones that guard the graves of the fallen in combat, evil or good it doesnât matter. If one can kill the Grim Reaper then they become the new Grim Reaper, only one has ever been know to take out the original Reaper none of done it for the past 5000 years. There is one Grave Guardian in every country. They are the wielders of the Soul Banish Scythes. Look even close to the Grim Reaper, again exception of the scythe and size.
Grim Reaper: The all power full controller of the Undead Army. Normally never in battle himself (that is what he has servants for). None can match his power but save for the few Grave Guardians who manage to gain enough experience in combat they may come close. The Reaper normally doesnât let a Grave Guardian get up to that much power before he is killed. Wealds the ultimate scythe, Thaontos.
If u have any ideas for more Undead ranksor how I may update these ones please post them here. I will accept the ones that I like the rest either didnât fit, or I didnât need them. If I donât use your idea donât feel bad about it. I will post when to stop with the ideas, them I will start my fanfic. Also any ideas if I should do it from my characters view or a naratore. Please be patient I am a slow writer.
