This is a thread about heavy metal. Talk about you're favorite heavy/metal bands. Their best songs. An all around discussion.

One of my favorites is Godsmack. They've been around for a while, and in their songs they have a lot of Middle Age sounding plain chants. It gives the songs almost a sarcred evil mood to them. Especially Voodoo, possibly my favorite song of all time.

Then there is Flaw who is a mixture of Linkin Park's emo, and Godsmack's metal. My dad knows these guys personally, and he got a signed poster from them and a bunch of stuff when he was hanging out with them back stage. Thier second album wasn't as hot as their first but all-in-all they are a very good band...

So who do you guys like?
i like h.i.m...
the ocassional slipknot...
a little atreyu...

are these considered heavy metal..?
I've never heard H.I.M.......

But the other two especially Atreyu are heavy metal
you should give h.i.m. a shot...
i really love it...

awesome lyrics...
amazing lyrics...

good guitarwork too...
I'll try to find their album then. I'm currently trying to get a base(I think it's spelled bass... :$) guitar, I'm in a band once I get the guitar, and Mudvanyes basist is awesome........he's like my bass idol. If you've ever seen how fast he plays........Jesus son of God Christ does he play fast.......
it's bass...

and i know man...
that dude is nuts...
it's amazing...
i've been getting into their music lately...
tis thine goodst stuffen....
It is....

But there are also the classics.......Metallica, Pantara, AC/DC (okay so not so heavy metal, but stick to you're roots right?) Guns and Roses, all the good ol' days.

Sceptulra is also very good, don't have any of their CD's but my dad does.

And Korn back when Freak on a Leash came out..........Tis' playing as I type
i love s&m...(symphony and metallica)

dude...Judad Preist...the beginnigs of metal man...
i like metallica espectially one on and justice for all. also like enter sandman and gonna learn it on drums soon
Slipknot's great, I love the songs "Vermillion; Part I and II" and Wait and Bleed. I loved KoRn until they came out with Issues, and still listen to them a bit. And though Manson isn't really metal, I listen to him and Jack off Jill a lot.
