if it comes to the worst i'll have to get a new gamecube. until then i'll put up with it as it is, just requires more patience trying to get it to work and save it after each quest/level in case it crashes.

contrary to popular belief you can play a system to death most dont believe it but it is true. I have helped a friend play three gamecubes now to death the limited edition pink one the black one and currently working on a brand new silver. We play ALL day long when at his house and after so much use they eventually wind down and die out of the three systems out currently gamecube places second in usage durability x box being first and ps2 being last with enough use especially with dvds it dies after about a year.
