Kashima Wrote:contrary to popular belief you can play a system to death most dont believe it but it is true. I have helped a friend play three gamecubes now to death the limited edition pink one the black one and currently working on a brand new silver. We play ALL day long when at his house and after so much use they eventually wind down and die out of the three systems out currently gamecube places second in usage durability x box being first and ps2 being last with enough use especially with dvds it dies after about a year.
I agree with the "playing to death" thing. I own a SNES that I played alot before I got a N64, and I mean ALOT. Chrono Trigger, Lufia: FoD, Secret of Mana, Kirby Superstar, LoZ: A Link to the Past,.... great times. But nowadays it doesn't display the 3Dish graphics very well. One time I bought Mario Kart, it was completely blurred, I tried 3 copies, none worked. The only game that I ever returned. It also happens with stuff like the clock pendulum in the Chrono Trigger title screen. So I think that you've just worn out your Cube, Poo Fly.
Yet my NES is still working perfectly after hours upon hours of Duck Hunt.
Good news! i switched on my gamecube to play pso 3 times yesterday (i was forced to keep getting off

) and each time it loaded first time and ran quieter than it has done in a long while

. maybe it feels sorry for me.
I would buy a new one....
and when it dies fully i will.
Would you let such a lovely peice of equiment die slowly and painfully??WHY!!??!
Poo-fly...let him go...into the...tras--Wild..
If any of my systems ever die completely, I'll give it a funeral. Like what some people do for pets, but not like a goldfish burial...
