You could buy the cable at Maplins, i bought mine there for about 5 squid. Just dont go to the one in Northampton cause the cashier is a fat American dude, who cant count and has the worst sense of humor ever.
Me - " Alright, have you got any Cross-Over RJ45 Cable ? ive found this RJ45 but it doesnt seem to be Cross-Over..."
Cashier - " See, look, it says here, X-OVER!... "
Me - " Oh, i didnt see that, its written really small... "
Cashier - *waves the box in my face nearly hitting my nose* X-OVER!
Me - *Thinks*- If you shout X-Over one more time im gonna stick that box up your fat ass...

I went up town the day PSO came out for Gamecube, first i went to Game and they said they aint gonna sell the BBA's or the 56KA's cause the Servers are unstable... lol....
So anyway i went round the corner to Gamestation and they happily sold me a BBA... Dunno if they still sell em though.
You can always try http://www.Gameplay.co.uk

I thought BBA's were universal... it shouldnt make a difference where you buy it from, it will still work with your gamecube.

All hardware is universal. Apart from actually playing games (PAL and NTSC variations) keyboards, modems, joypads, memory cards etc work on any console. At least all of the stuff I have imported.
Reaver. I know your setup exactly, I helped someone from the Nintendo boards do what you have. And I use NTL internet, but its through my TV set top box instead. But you have to make sure you have the right cable. Little did I realise, after I told him to do everything, he was using the wrong cable -.-;. I forget which cable I am using now (ethernet normal or ethernet x-over) but you need the opposite. I think if you connect the GC straight to the modem you use a normal ethernet cable. If conencting to a hub/router, or network card, you use a x-over cable.
Whenever I was switching cables, it took 10 minutes to get it working. I gave up in the end and just installed a network card for only £10 more. Much easier and better, trust me.
