Kefka deleted your post so I couldn't vote. I guess this is another thing I should discuss with the crew. Once you give me some details how it works so I can let the other mods and admins on this I'll post it in our little private forum.
It's all very well to make it sound just here, but what about those who enjoy playing the game online, but don't go on this forum, and are repeatedly kicked out of a lobby deliberately by you. It's fair enough that you may think it is eventually for a good cause, but as far as these people know they are just being kicked off for no good reason. If you want to use the other servers you mentioned, you may go and do it, and publicise it to try and get others to join, but I don't see how deliberately messing up the online experience for others, who probably have no idea what is going on, can help.
I know the claim was for the other servers to become public, you'd need Sega's to be shut down. I really don't think this could happen so easily though.
As for hoping Sonic Team struggle like Acclaim.. Well, I don't mind you being a bit annoyed with them, they could do more to help, but I still enjoy their games, and don't want them to be forced to close down like Acclaim (though it is a bit of a different situation, as Acclaim was a publisher and Sonic Team is a developer)!
I still hope people won't mess with PSU either.. just a boring waste.

Ok, so queefka closed my post, no prob. I got a PM from a member of these forums ( I won't say any names ), but they are up for it. So far I have like 5 people who are for the idea.
By the way, queefka, if you are reading this, Yes, it is illegal right now. That is why Sonic Team must close their servers before the private servers become public. SCHTHACK (If im not mistaken), got permission from Sega to run his servers for PSO Dreamcast and PC. Once Sonic Team quits they don't care cuz they aren't losing any money. That is why I wanted to do this. Get it over with faster cuz we all know its gonna happen sooner or later.
Plus...PSO Blue Burst just started up, and they are on different servers. Blue Burst will not be public for SCHTHACK's until the Blue Burst servers go down, which will be a while...I don't wanna take those servers, Im just talking Episode 1&2, PSO Plus, and Episode 3 Sonic Team servers...Look at them! They are nothing anymore!
Oh, and if you didn't know, Dreamcast, PC, Xbox, and Gamecube people can all chat and play together on most private servers.
So...theres the idea, lol.
And mr_shoe, Sonic Team shut down their Dreamcats servers because of the lack of players. Version 2 people stopped paying, they lost cash, no 1 cared anymore. So thats how that went. Sonic Team just wants money. Version 1 played for nothing. And no, I don't plan on doing anything to Online PSU, unless someone else does it first. Then im not gonna just sit around legit while they fuck my data. (What brought PSU up anyway?)...
I only wish there was a way to link to BB...oh well it won't happen till im able to get it probs...

If you don't want to play legit while others mess around, it's up to you, but as me and many members of this forum have proved, you can still have fun being legit even if some insist on cheating.
I suppose you've swung me round to thinking it's not so bad, but there will be things we'd miss out on, like special quests etc. We might not even get Ep3 tournaments and rankings (though maybe we could).
After all this though.. isn't Schtack one of the main guys who starting hacking and messing up the other PSO games in the first place?

na, i've already seen one person from jp bb awhile ago on schthacks, he was testing it.
and schthack didn't really make that much, i think he made some lvl200 codes and that's about it.
