ive seen this problem sooo many times with online rpgs! specially with diablo 2 l.o.d.! and on that u get banned for having duped/ith items and even if someone traded u one and u have no idea.. is it like that on pso? and is there any way to tell if the item u traded for is duped or not?
no, st has no way of tracking dupes and its pritty oveos for u to stay away from deals that are 'to good to be true'
Diablo 2 items had a specific code each so if there was a copy, Blizzard could track it and delete it and take action against the person using the account, in the form of a ban or whatever. Blizzard come down pretty hard on dupers and cheaters in all their games... Theyve let D2 Slide loads though since theyve been making the new 1.10 patch for it, then theyll start cracking down on it again i reckon... it was pretty sound and dupe free for ages when it first came out, but now that its a much older game its one of their lesser priorities, theyre busy with other games and such...

I dunno if PSO has a similar way of tracking whats what but ive never heard of anyone or known anyone to get banned for having dupes... Kinda gay :|
diablo character files were also stored on a battle.net server so they were easier to manage and scan for dupes
Well, than we should be thankful that sega never made the game cause they would of screwed it up as bad as they did in PSO
Sega never screwed it up! It was most of the ass holes out of there that did
Well SEGA is being a b**** right now,as usual.
They didn't release a patch for shop dupe yet did they?
Nope not for the GC anyway. They might be able to Im not sure. It would have to by saved onto the memory card though.
At least they could make it so u can't play PSO without the patch.
Good idea, but most people would get pissed bout it
