Studing religon in school today i noticed that over half of the mags in PSO ane named after hindu(a majour world religon) gods.

Really? I'll look some of them up on the internet. Thats pretty interesting.

That's an interesting fact that i never new, but i expect a lot of games would probably do the same thing, i was in a hist book ( yeah i know - bore ) an realized that one of the merovingian / carolingian kings names were used in game that i had played, although trying to remember that game now is just too diff. i hav a very forgetful memory lol

There's a website where you can look up the mythology behind Final Fantasy. There's so much of it. It will be similar with most games, it's incredibly difficult to be original nowadays, everything has just been done.

There was a novel I was writing that had characters named after hindu Gods such as:
Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva, Shakti, Suriah, etc. Those all happened to be meaningful forms of hindu names that did not become mags, strangely, but many others that I looked up while studying hindu god names were very familiar to me. Ashvinau, Bhirava, Ribhava, etc.

There is tons of mythology in Phantasy Star.

Greek, Roman, Christian, and many more.
