Pfft. never tried it out.
But my baseball season also started. First couple pratices at least (i have no idea why my baseball season has to start so late...) and i think i'm going to do really good...
Last practice in the drills there was about 20 throws to me at 1st base, and i only missed one, the throw was really bad though, i had to like jump-dive for it, and i was pretty close to getting it. And I don't even play 1st o_O.

Hehe. I used to be a pitcher. Still have that arm though. It's a great skill.

Only 20? during infield outfield our firstbasemen ends up with LOADS of throws... Big League just began (school seasons over) and i play left field (ofcourse) havent gotten to pitch yet... but thats fine IMO. played 2nd base one game. did ok. didnt miss anything, just looked retarded during warmups for it. (never played 2nd in my life lol) other than that im doing good. our seasons 3-0 so far. we're gonna go undefeated (we hope)

We were rotating positions for each batter up and each batter only got to hit about 30 balls, so yes, 20. that's enough for 30 balls imo, the others were either tips or drives to the outfield.
i hate left field. I love outfield, but i hate left field, tried it several times and hated it. Center field is #1, then right field was pretty cool because i threw everyone out at home ._.

Ewww. right fields so boring. you never get any balls unless theres a leftie at bat.... basically... pretty boring lol. as for throwing people out at home.... it depends for each field i guess. our left field is shorter than our right field. our center field is 400 :S

400 ft. isn't big at all :S . We were playing at 400ft last year and kids hit it to the fence easy. (of course, slower pitch = easier to get a hold of)
Center field ftw. Cooler, is the boss of outfield, and you get to call people off in the outfield. Or you should be able to, if you call someone off at center and they don't listen they are retarded -_-.

do you know anything about baseball? the phillies stadium, i believe, has a 400ft wall. (or VERY VERY close to that) theres professional ballparks with them. that is actually quite a large center field. not many. but they do exist in the pros.
as for our smaller lengths... left field is like 280 hahahah. and our right field is 330 i believe. left field is the easiest to hit one out on, though i will admit i have not done it this season.
as for slower pitches..... slower pitches are harder to hit farther. the only way to really hit a slow pitch that far would be to get under the ball, hit a popfly and have the wind blow it out. which one of our players did twice one game lol it was funny. it sat up there for a long time blowing out of the field. as for calling people off in centerfield.... whoever calls it first has the right to get the ball.
as for the whole 400ft remark... i'll let that slide for now.
