There is new info from yesterday of a new virus of msn. There is an attachment of full info here. PLEASE READ! also i recomenned you stay offline from your GCN. This could also mean corruption. Also you should unplug your phone line of both ends so the virus wont get into the cord and then get smacked in the face with the virus when you think its safe.I also recommend if you have a anti virus program plz update them!

This could save your computer and game cube so plz take the time to follow these precautions.

  xbox, transfering characters?
Posted by: JaxTheHUmar - 14-08-2003, 10:36 PM - Forum: Tech - Replies (2)

ok im thinking of getting a new xbox seen as how mine screws up so often on my favorite game, being brand new, i think its the xbox itself.

if i do get a new xbox, can sum1 tell me how to transfer characters using a madcats memory card? i brought PSO to my friends house, he also has xbox, and my POS ranger on a memory card, but he wasnt on the list...

im thinkin, WTF, wheres my damn ranger, i didnt have a list of memory units to pick from, so i made a new person,

someone with XBOX tell me how to transfer characters t different xboxs....

or would it be easier to clean my xbox and pray for the better?

  A Lil help on JP Phrases..
Posted by: Sweetness - 14-08-2003, 12:00 PM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (37)

Now, being a FFXI player i have no choice but to speak JP (the game isnt even out in USA yet) so, you must adapt. Now most JP players do speak a minimal amount of english but rarely will you find someone who speaks both. But with a phew helpful phrases, you can earn their respect, and not be ignored Smile

Ok. i suggest whenever you join a Group you say "yoroshiku". This Basically means "Welcome/Nice to Meet you". If you quickly follow that up with "Nihongo ga sukoshi wakarimasu" then hopefully they will understand you a little better. This means "I speak very little japanese", and hopefully they will be a little more considerate. "eigo Dekimasenka" could be used also, this is asking if they speak english, and "Eigo hanashimasu" means I speak English.

some simple words that can help you interact also Smile

hai = yes
iie = no
ieie = no problem/dont worry
kinisinaide = no problem/dont worry
omedetou = congrats! (like when they level up)
arigatou = thankyou
gomen = sorry
sajounara = bye
tusukete = help

It is also considered, in a JP team to go blurting English all over chat. Keep you EN to a minimum and they wont get angry, if you do have to speak, keep it as simple as you can!

anyway, thats all im gonna say, i never have played PSO online so this all could be rubbish but as i play FFXI and am always interacting with JP people, it surely must help Smile

  GC --> Router --> PC.. Guide anyone?
Posted by: Sweetness - 14-08-2003, 11:11 AM - Forum: Tech - Replies (2)

Im going to buy a router today, as i have a USB ADSL modem, i got my Broadband Adapter from Japan, now all i must do is hook it up to the net!

So i worked out i need a router with 1 IN and 2 OUT.. the question is, how do i configure it all? Do i need to start my pc, log onto the internet to make the "Stream" Active. Do i have to put special options into the PSO Setup? Will i need to change my PC config for it?

and most of all, How do i do it Smile

thx

Sweet (Computilliterate)
