  Michael Jackson
Posted by: Double Edge - 22-06-2005, 04:37 PM - Forum: Media - Replies (15)

Despite recently being on trial and luckily for him, being aquitted, MJ is one fine artist; or at least he was. Anyway, what I want to know is, who listens to Michael Jackson? He has a great collection of hits, and is well-known world-wide for his music. Also, if you like him, which are your favorite songs? Mine are:

  • Smooth Criminal
  • Beat It
  • Thriller
Those songs are absolutely awesome. Smooth Criminal was even re-done by Alien Ant Farm a while back. Anyways, so, answer the question!

  Full card curroption?
Posted by: Todd - 22-06-2005, 04:08 PM - Forum: Help - Replies (7)

Ok, I have a thrid party memory card. I had PSO on it. Way back when, I found out the card could just plain curropt for no reason. So I switched to a first party memory card. That was a while ago. But now, Im wondering...I stiill have PSO on that card. If PSO on my third party memory card curropts, will it curropt ALL of the memory on that card including games like sonic adventure 2 battle? Or will it just curropt PSO? O.o;;;

  PSOBB; if it were possible to have unofficial servers...
Posted by: Chaotic Descent - 22-06-2005, 08:57 AM - Forum: Hacks & Cheats - Replies (9)

If it were possible to hack PSO:BB so that you could have unofficial servers and play on them, how bad would that be? Clearly it would still be illegal, but at least it wouldn't effect people who play on official servers. episode 4 is exclusive to Blue Burst. Episode 2 was never available on the PC version. Are there any versions that don't require additional fees to play multiplayer?

I know things like that have been done in the past, but does anyone else have any opinion on how likely it would happen to PSO:BB, and if it would be any easier than other more complicated MMORPGs?

I hope it happens. I've played a few MMORPGs. The illusion of the game world is so shallow compared to the range that video games go through... I feel like I'm in a graphical internet chatroom, and I ALREADY pay monthly for my internet - High-speed internet. How about I just buy the game and use my little player on the internet. public servers unreliable? how about servers that are running anti-cheat software are authenticated? I mean, how many years have we had IRC?
Ah well. Business will never let go of the easy money made off of foolish customers who don't care about indefinately doing "the grind".

  Forums=fancy name for chat room??
Posted by: Infinite8 - 22-06-2005, 12:56 AM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (24)

My dad and I were talking about how I go on the forums and talk to people... and called it a way to join a chat room without getting in trouble from your parents, or som'n like that... but I say that a forum is much different from a chat room...i.e. you can get banned, you don't have to be on at the same time as another person in order to talk to them, there are rules...
So what do you think?
Is a forum just another chat room?

  God of War
Posted by: Double Edge - 21-06-2005, 09:50 PM - Forum: Gaming - Replies (8)

I am anticipating getting this game for my birthday, most likely anyway. Wink I have watched video after video demonstrating this game's technological capabilites and wonder. I have come across but a few faults and downers to owning this game. There is some mature content as well as potential minor glitches (choppiness at specific scenarios), neither of which I have any problem with. Also, it is reported that there were fewer boss battles than some people would have liked, considering the enjoyability of the bosses that are there. I have also read up on this game on several different well-known and trusted gaming sites including GameSpot.com and IGN.com. They both gave excellent reviews, and their ratings for God of War, respectively, were 9.3 (plus recipient of GameSpot's Editor's Choice Award), and 9.8 - both superb ratings.

But, cutting to the chase, those of you who have had the pleasure of playing this game, what did you think of it? As you can see, I like to research games before I actually pick them up. Putting my head where my (or my significant other's) money is, evidently. My brother had rented it at one point, but I did not get to experience it for myself. So, opinions, please. Thanks!

Truly,
Double Edge

  Still worth playing online?
Posted by: Shazam187 - 21-06-2005, 09:15 PM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (8)

I picked up Phantasy Star Ep 3 when it came out (I'm a sucker for card games), and played it (all offline) for a good 3-4 months, racked my guy up to Level 89, have some fairly entertaining decks, and then set it down after I felt I had mastered it. Since at the time I lived in an area with no high speed internet (I know...), I didn't want to bother getting an online adapter.

Well, some 15-18 months later, I've now picked the game back up and started playing it again, however, I'm sad by the fact there are many cards I can't get offline, only online, and wondered if there was any life still on the online version of the game this far after it's release. (i.e. I really don't want to go buy the whole adapter & split my broadband cable just to find out I'm the only one online...) So I have some basic questions just about things I've read in other places and so forth:

A)Is there still enough of an online group of players where I could find a game with minimal time of waiting?

B)I've read many a thread about idiots running around FSOD'ing people. Is this still rampant, and if so, does it have the ability of corrupting my save information?

C)This is the first game I've ever touched in the Phantasy Star series. Now granted, you folks might be a bit biased, but are the first two still worth picking up at a used game store and playing? Since I'll have the online adapter for this, might as well get my money's worth...

Any information you could provide would be most beneficial, as this will likely sway me one way or the other to go out and buy the online adapter for the Cube. Thanks!
