<font size="1">[ Lee_yoshi - March 10 2005 - 2:58 PM ]</font>

<P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">In news set to shock anyones wallets, some gaming companies and third party publishers including Electronic Arts and SEGA have warned that due to constantly imporving graphics and gaming machines, the cost of game production is going to rise massively.</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">While we all wait for exactly what these next generation consoles are set to do at E3 later this year in May, third party publishers who have gotten 'rough' specifications from whats expected in next-gen titles have said that to produce such title will cost them a lot more... pushing the retail price higher then ever before for us!</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">According to the website 'Happy Puppy', SEGA have told US retailers to expect a price tag for future titles on next generation machines, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 2, and Nintendo Revolution, to come with a recommended price tag of $59.99.</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Not a great rise in price for american gamers who currently pay around $39.99 - $49.99 for games, but if you work it out in European price-to-price differences (Thats the bit where we somehow have to pay much more!), games could retail for around 60 - 80 Euro's, working out at £39.99 (What we already pay - Thats for the cheaper games) to £59.99 (Thats for future New Releases!).</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><IMG alt="Computer &amp; Video Games" hspace=3 src="/uploads/news_images/cvg_logo.gif" align=right vspace=2 border=0>Hold on to your socks though... it gets worse... as <A href="http://www.computerandvideogames.com">Computer &amp; Video Games</A> website chatted to SEGA Representatives during the 'Sony Destination Playstation' event last weekend, who speculated that some games could cost yet even more -&nbsp; upto $69.99 in america, SEGA specifically highlighting Electronic Arts 'EA Sports' titles... you dont want to know what that is in Euro's and Pounds!</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">EA's CEO Larry Probst has already gone on the record earlier this year saying that he reckoned games would carry significantly higher price tags in the future, but with us already paying well over the equivilent of Japanese and American gamers, excuse me for thinking the future of European gaming coudl soon end up<IMG style="WIDTH: 91px; HEIGHT: 183px" alt="Money, Money, Money..." hspace=4 src="http://ragol.warcrafttavern.com/uploads/news_images/moneypile.gif" align=left vspace=2 border=0> down the pan.</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Can you see yourself paying £59.99 or more for new releases? If you're rich and famous, the answer is most likely yes, whilst if you're the type of gamer who works hard all day long to pay the bills, and then likes to splash out on a few new games with whats left, you could be saving longer then initially anticipated, if you can be bothered to save up at all. Maybe its time to just find a new hobby?</FONT></P><P><FONT face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">This is all speculation at the moment, although the fact that its been spoken highly of by industry experts does undoubtedly strike up cause for concern.</FONT></P>

  Sega Does Something?

original article at http://www.planetdreamcast.com/psoworld/

Quote:The Good I have recieved information on new policy on the current situation in online activities and it appears ST will now be taking care of things.

{User abuse}
We are now encouraging user abuse reports to be sent in for all incidents. Representatives are expected to give this notice to their respective locations. We will be cracking down on all cheaters, "hackers", "coders", and/or reverse engineers. These reports will be investigated thoroughly and without prejudice. Those found guilty of extreme acts including but not limited to : Interfering with in game code, causing ill affect to any server to the extent of small instances, disrupting another subscribers data, hosting pirate or private servers for active games, "stream gaming", or using a proxy address to obtain information: will be subject to the full punishment of law as listed in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and the User Agreement all subscribers must agree to.

{Pirate Games}
It has come to our attention that some players have began creating "Pirated Game Discs and Streams". These streams are illegal. If you access our servers with these illegal copies, you will be disconnected, and your subscription halted indefinitely. Furthermore, you will not be able to participate in any Sega/Sonicteam/Sammy Corp. online server subscription services at the discretion of these individual companies.

Here's to hoping this new attention works.

The Bad It appears that a quest that was being worked on, the quest known as 多くの大きい物の退職 or Retirement of the Greats has been cancled due to problems in the coding of Episode I&II, and as such it is unlikely this will be seen any time soon, if at all.

The Ugly Apparently Phantasy Star Universe is still only in the story board development stages. No indication of if the game engine has even begun to be worked on.
I wont believe that there gonna take action till I see it, it'll be great though if they do take action

I am going to start collecting Katanas. But I have a few questions.

1.What are the 4 legendary swords?

2.Is the Real Agito the only one that can be turned into Ororiagito?

3.Which is the best Katana, I personally think Kamui looks pretty good.

what is your favorite diss or comeback to someone? my favorite 2 are:

if someone says something obvious: "Brilliant deduction, Watson."

if someone insults me: "Thank you." - only 4 people have ever known the only comeback to that ("You're welcome." Tongue )

share any good ones that you know.

lots of little cheaqp items or monsters or the expensive strong items or monsters. Or do you have decks that are one and another deck that is the other.
myself i have a combonation of the little weak decks and the strong expensive ones. The different strategy keep the game more exciting and fresh.
