| My epic quest to get online with Tiscali broadband |

I used shared internet connection using an ethernet cable. There are several ways but if you have tiscali broadband (it may work with other ISP's too) you should at least consider this method.
You need
1) Some knowledge of computers
2) A networking card (some computers have this built in)
3) A Gamecube BBA (broadband adapter)
4) An RJ45 crossover cable
5) A gamecube and PSO ep 1 and 2 (not sure about 3)
Ok, here we go...
first, you must connect to tiscali.
Then, you plug the RJ45 crossover cable from the gamecube to to back of the computer, the socket that says ethernet.
Then, you set up the shared internet settings (I can't quite remember exactly how I did this but I'm sure that I went to control panel, then connection and network settings, then network settings, I'll look into it)
Then, make sure you're connected, then go to options (on the gamecube) and select purchase hunter's licience.
Finally, you must go to homepage on the gamecube and set up the internet connection. All I needed to input was the DNS address (4 numbers separated by full stop (.)'s). You must have access to this number!! Our ISP sent it to us via email so we're ok, but if you were'nt sent this, you could always phone your ISP and ask.
Then, you play!
If I've forgotten anything, add to it.
If you're wondering why I did this, I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. I also wanted to give back to ragol.co.uk.
Ok, bye (for now)

I am doing a contest in which only a certain few can join.
Here's the rules thus far:
-To enter, you must post your request to enter by Thursday.
-Knowledge of Episodes I and II is required. Knowledge of Episode 3 will help lots.
-There will be a maximum of fifteen people allowed to enter. If there are less than nine by Thursday, I will allow requests to noon on Friday.
-I will ask questions, give riddles, and test your know-how. You will be given a set amount of time to solve these. If no one solves them (highly unlikely), you will be given extra time.
-There will be a preliminary round, cutting down to six finalists, before the actual Riddle Me This! competition commences.
-Prizes will be given out according to place in competition.
1st Prize: ???
2nd Prize: A rare Mag
3rd Prize: A rare item
4th+under: ???
More will be said once Friday comes around. Until then...

Sorry to bother you with this again, but is it possible to connect the gc with an RJ45 cable to a HUB(Not router),so that I can surf the net while I'm online?
Just wondering, since I don't have the gc keyboard,I could talk by msn when I needed 2 talk, besides,it's a pain to strech the cable all the way to the modem(And btw the cable is 'un-usable'.Don't ask what hapened.. :cheeky: ).

Dudes....Xbox is a poor console in my opinion...
[EDITED] Thread title changed to a more realistic, and pleasing title! This thread can still lead into a discussion, if continued from Lyger's post... (#3).
Sliced Bread, please note: - Don't be so blunt. Make a thread only when it can lead into a discussion.
- No console wars!
- Don't use so many exclamation marks in one post!
