I was pretty sure from somewhere that a Mil lilly was a 1/214 chance or something close to that and that other monsters could be rarer or commoner. This is what I ave found in my experiences, it seems to be easier to pipe an Al rappy in fake in yellow than a Pal rappy in the same quest!

It's all random and at the same rate, so the only variable is the number of that enemy in a level.

From what I know the chance of a rare monster appear is 1/512
But no one has confirmed that till now, to me.
So I am not sure of this.
I bet Kefka know the chance

I hate ob lilies too man, found out last night that even after they shoot megid it can go through door ways and kill you, like they have piercing on their megid.

The odds are always 1/512 (in EP1&2), Temple Hildeltorrs are just rarer because there's barely any and Caves Mil Lillies are just more common because there's a pooload of them.
Odds of seeing an enemy in one pipe or run = # of enemies in that pipe (or run) divided by 512; that gives you a % chance.
