For offline C-mode, I suggest doing it with 3 people, not 4, because with 4 people, the game will tremendously slow down, but the timer won't >_<
2 will be very difficult on C4, C6 and C9, you may try if you're HUcast and FOmarl/FOnewearl.
The HUcast should feed his Mag to increase DEX, and perhaps use guns sooner, safer than meleeing.
You'll need a lot of power by just the two of you, so a Ranger is out of the question, and two Forces would quickly run out of fluids, so I think my proposition is best-suited, all other hunters are useless if there's not a HUcast.
And learn the maps and riddles.
Dunno what Lionheart thinks about C-mode duo...

me and Sliced Bread actually used a HUcast Fonewearl combo offline til C5, unless you both know exactly what you're doing (and even if you do for that matter) it is very hard with only 2. But as Kefka says, 3 and 4 people cause extreme game lag and the lack of screen space can be annoying as well as detrimental to your character.
