So here's my thing....

A few months ago I was playing a game and a HU said I was useless at being a FO and he would show me how it's done, he comes back with a FO and 2 minutes into the game dies, I heal him and 2 mins after he dies again.

When I said; "wow, you sure showed me", he said; "FO's are supposed to die, it's what they're designed for", I've never heard so much BS since I saw this guy at the shop I get most of my manga/anime from in town.

strange HU... why'd you heal him?

I only have one Force, and I consider him a "Melee Force" because of my battle tactics, which are more HU/RA-like than I guess a Force's should be. He only has two Force weapons (hildebear's cane, mace of adaman), then a supressed gun, a vulcan, a double saber and a soul eater. Usually my tactics are, use the Hildebear's Cane most of the time, cast techs and melee, then use the double saber to regain all 900+ TP (the God/Battle helps here... Big Grin). Support tech-wise, I don't bother much with J/Z, except on certain enemies which I would prefer to render nearly harmless (belras, for instance), or sometimes I use it when I'm using my HUmar so I can melee without being knocked down every other combo... but then, I always use Jellen... rarely ever do I bother with Zalure. But I always have S/D cast... by the time those techs are above level 10 or so, you won't catch any of my characters without them.

That said, I don't really care if people cast all the support techs. The other day I was playing with a friend who suggested we use 50-ish characters... which for me meant my HUcast. He used a FOmar and surprised me with techs that seemed to be beyond the power my FOnewm was doing at that level. It was actually hard to get kills in at times. As for the support techs, all I asked for was the occasional Shifta - that's what really matters to me, anyway. He commented on the fact that some people really have a problem with him not casting all four support techs... just another reason that, if I ever got an online account, I'd only play with people who I know and understand the fact that I cast when I feel like it (except for S/D which I always use).

Kefka: Heh, a "bad force?" Interesting term. Who's to say you can't play the game a different way, anyway? In single mode, every character gets by somehow (and for all Hunters but HUnewearl, and all androids, S/D is like a luxury anyway)... it seems to me, just because a Force is in your party doesn't mean you should take all the support techs for granted (which is not to say they shouldn't be cast, but I'd not like to have everyone yelling at me if I don't go casting J/Z on every enemy wave).

earlyer when i was meleeing i was asked to support, normal i would get mad at them for this but i decided to humor them... this is what i found:

first of all you do get j/z exp... basicly what i did was stood back and at each monster wave casted j/z and when they ran out of s/d i recasted it... I NEVER ONCE USED A OFFENCEIVE SPELL OR ATTACKED, and no one noticed so in essence i was just leaching there exp and they didnt care as long as it looked like i was helping them >.> morons, i was much more helpfull attacking... but lol maybe ill try it again, FREE EXP!

Not Just Support - Kashima - 25-12-2004

thats sneaky as all hell.... i like it

Not Just Support - Schoichet - 25-12-2004

well they get what they want, i get free exp... evryones happy.

i guess going up and looking like a psyco meleeing is more... well entertaining

To crush his spirit and diffuse his arrogance.

As for not letting him die, the 2nd time I did leave him for dead and exited the game, and he had over 100k meseta on him.
