I was playing on xbox live yesterday and.......well i was walking around the lobby and somebody just gives me a chain sawd..........i just got xbox live so......wtf????

Hackers maybe? Trying to give you FSOD ore PSOD? Or just really nice people. Don't trust anyone yet. There are ways to find out which one they are. Tell me, do you have any rare items besides the chain sawd? With hacking they can steal all of your rares. Even that. It's called a lure (spelling?). Either that or what I said before...just really nice people. What were the names?

Dude, drop the item immediately. And before free exchange, GUILD CARD them. If they don't accept, don't take it. And you mean Lobby as in Town, like where you start games, if so you may be corrupted, soon enough. If they dropped an item there, THEY ARE HACKERS. I have had my spare corruptions (on DC anyway) by picking up items, some by friends, GUILD CARD everyone you affiliate with, espeically when they drop such a great rare.

.............Maybe I should just stop..........and the item was given to me during a quest.......I have no clue why I said "lobby"........maybe i was in a rush?......hackers.....to be a hacker, or not to be a hacker.....thats a question no one can answer.....anyway......like 4 rares i got....was from a friend.....his char. was a 134.......and I know him personally.....at any rate....I think I'll lay off the pso for awhile.....and go level up in Halo2 or Splinter cell: chaos theory......

No doubtedly hacked....you don't have to get rid of it if you don't want to however....their are so many hacks on XBL.

Don't trust ANYONE who gives you an uber that you don't know. Your new right? Create a new character, give him/her the chain sawd to confuse the hacker. It's not like only one person in the entire game can posibly get it (unless you count ID's, then only SKYLY can get it).

WTF??? Somebody just randomly gave out a hacked weapon.... it's not going to do anything, and it's probably just duped. And the char is so low level, I wouldn't worry about it anyway.

If you haven't been hacked yet, slap the item in with a second character. (don't have one, make one.) Put it in that character's bank. Now wait a month or so. Then get your item back. They have now forgotten about you, or tried to hack but couldn't. If you threw the item away, oh well... To make plan more efficient, put the second character in your memory card, then take out the memory card.
