Need help with PC Joypad

I have a cheap PC Joypad which came with no software, and this side-scrolling fighting game in which the character skills are all difficult button combos, e.g. A, down, down, B, and I'm having a really hard time trying to beat it, so does anyone know of a free software which records PC keyboard and joypad button presses as a macro, and maps it onto one button instead?

Not sure if that will work with your controller. The FAQ seems to suggest the software will do what you want.
