Help please: Volume control

Can someone tell me how to access the volume control of a Flash clip/etc, so that I can control the volume separately from other programs which are playing sound?

I'm using Windows XP and Adobe Flash Player 9. It's this silly little shooty Flash game thing I found which is quite fun, but the sound is always really really loud.

This has been bugging me, too. The only thing I can think of is turning your computer volume off, and if you're listening to music, use a CD player or Mp3 player. >.> It's annoying as hell that volume is so loud on games.
