PSO Sounds! Very important

@Fraps: How should I get the game running on my computer in order to record with Fraps, SnagIt or all the other programs out there ? Is there an offline version of PSO BB PC Vers?

pso pc can be played offline, bb online only

@dnd, tried VLC, it does not open the pac files, only the music ogg files in bb

That's the first place i would have tried when searching for great PSO stuff That's just me tho! XD

@Lee Yoshi: Thanks, but as you will notice the only sounds offered on this site are already from Kireek. The sounds I need most are unfortunately not there.

well i searched the net and game disks and those were it, most pso sounds in dreamcast pso disk are compacted in a weird way or i can't find the file
*checks the game disk for info*

the other sounds like pb or dragon dieing are simply conversions of one file tipe to a tipe that everyone can hear (wav/mp3)

after checking it seems i don't know wich file has the sounds
the adx files are either some sounds or songs musics......

the afs files are in most occasions files with compacted bin or images, the ones that say bgm forest for example have the music that is played in forest 1/2, it is devided in several segments of 4-6 seconds each, again no sounds.

if i record more sounds or if i find more i will try and make a pack bigger then this one, for now it is all i got.

Nvm, thanks a lot Kireek. Ill keep searching and well - I will have them sooner or later (I just have to - there is no way around it). Even if my last option will be to record that stuff. Ill see if I can get the PSO PC vers somehow... it wouldn't be a big deal do catch the sounds from my output. But it seems kind of impossible to get :/ .


Edit: Eek. I found a PSO Demo for the PC where you shall be able to walk through the first area. I hope they mean the whole Forest - but even if it s just Forest one, there're plenty of sounds I can rip.(Well, at least I hope that you can switch the music off in this demo)

!!!!!!!!!!!EDIT: Well, the PSO Demo thingy didnt work because the demo has no sound at all *^_^. But I found another way to solve the problem. I downloaded PSOBB. The Problem was that there is no option to switch off the bgm music ingame - so I just opened the ogg Folder and deleted all of the files. There are no problems when you play it, the bgm is just not there and you can rip the sounds easily(alternativly you could replace all the ogg files with 0kb files with the same name + ogg ending). I posted this method because I wont have the time to rip much, Ill just get what I need(but ill get at least that online for you of course). So if anyone is interested in something else he'll just have to use this method by himself. Have fun.
