hmmm. You should be able to. What is your ISP? I know people have trouble with AOL.
But you should be able to connect your GC up fine. Just make sure you use the right ethernet cable. There are two, cross-over and normal. Not sure which you'll need. If you have a computer friend, ask them if they could borrow some cables to try.
As for settings, should work with auto.
