Likely that these are rumours, actually. Ragol and PSO World would have news about it otherwise. Plus, the most recent news I've seen said that ST are still working on the game engine...
EDIT: And right on cue, PSO World and Ragol put news up about this, from a Japanese source... gah, are Sonic Team really so stupid as to screw over the GC Gamers who were introduced to the Phantasy Star Universe (Woo, see what I did there?) through PSO?
