Confusing item combinations

Ok, you use Syncesta to do the lavis transformations, and you start with Lavis Cannon add syncesta and it turns into Lavis blade. you take lavis blade and add syncesta and it turns into double cannon. now you take double cannon and add syncesta and it turn into lavis cannon, why would they make the weapon cycle back to it's origional form instead of either stopping the transformation cycle or make it change into something else? :S
