Fine, you should pick a foney because:
They have the highest mst
They have a bonus to simple techniques if I remember correctly, which means they can generally deal out more damage (Although to less enemies at once)
Their megid automatically penetrates, get a high level and line up some enemies and it can be pretty useful. Also, its neat to use megid effectively in seabed (freain reco-boxes!)
They cast faster with a weapon then a male force can meaning that if a male force wants to have a faster casting speed he has to use no weapon at all. With some of the weapons in PSO having such uber specials and bonuses (summit moon, twinkle star, phyco wand and many more) I would hate to have to use no weapon and therefore would pick a female force.
So, at the end of they day if you get a summit moon on a fonewearly you already have 60% bonus to simple techs, and with whichever merge you pick (red, yellow, blue) you will end up with an 80% bonus to at least one of your simple techs. As they're more powerful anyway, it's awesome.
You could always pick a Fomarl, but they lack the mental strength to equip rares early in the game, and although the grants boost is nice, how many enemies in an area are weak to light? Not many.
