I'm half and half on this new controller. To me personally... hmm, i'm not entirely sure. It seems like they've done a GameTrak (People who have made similiar type of sensor games like that recent golf game for PS2 - Crap with crap sensors!) but hopefully put a lot more time and effort into it that hopefully will work flawlessly. If it works flawlessly, i desperately want to play it, but i dont know if technology is there yet for that to be possible... time will tell i guess! I'm incredibly eager to play some new SSB-Revolution with this new controller and see how it works too! :S Theyve talked about how great this will be with FPS games, Sports games etc, but not fighting games! Do you chuck your controllers across the room to simulate throwing a bomb-omb? Lol! (I hope so! XD) Maybe a Revolution Controller is a weapon you can pick-up in the game, so you can slap them with it?
It's also great to see the big-wigs at THQ, EA Canada, Activision, and UbiSoft loving and declaring their partnership for Revolution games, but of course... where is SEGA?! :O Also once again... how will a WWE game work with the controller?! Lol! Dare i say whats on my mind, because that'll just be TOO silly
However, like UK Jester is prophesising (sp?), i too think Nintendo has just gone off too far from everyone else. Nintendo has said now many times that its making its own market to compete in, so dont bother comparing them to the PS2/3 and Xbox/360, but does that mean it wants to be in a market where it doesnt make any money? :S
Casual gamers will pick it up, and then put it down again. Other casual gamers who maybe had a Gamecube and like Nintendo stuff will buy this, get home, and return it within 10 days to get their money back!
I dont like where this is heading for Nintendo unless it works out how to move this controller into a place where it becomes a more popular character.
