Sonic Saturn Wrote:Sanga: "I think that ps3 will get the best sales like lee said because it is playstation and seeing as it is statisticaly the best console more people are likely to buy it."So what you're saying is that the Nintendo Revolution will sell the best because it's got the worst graphical power? Haha, i'm just kidding around
*ahem* Xbox is graphically beter than all concoles at the present time and it doesn't have the best sales, out of this generation consoles (GC, Xbox, PS2) out of Peak (notice the peak, it's important) graphics, power, etc. the Xbox is best, and the PS2 ids worst, and the GC is in the middle yay,
what i have never understood though, is how the graphics on the consoles seem to get better as the sconsoles get older, for example could they produce a game with the graphics as gd as those in the new zelda when it was lanched? no, yet they can now, and why save the best for last when it's just about to go, I mean it (sorry if my spellings really wrong) has never worked in the past: SA2never saved thew DC, Nights on the saturn never saved it, true they're amazing games, but they never really helpd too much.

Although to answer your last point i've quoted there, Gamer.tv answered this question very easily in the last episode i saw of the program i think.
When consoles are first released, games developers don't have the understanding of the console and it's spec's, and can therefore only produce games to the limitations they know. As technology advances, so do the development tools developers can work with so they work to a higher standard that's more compatable with the systems full capabilities. By now, development tools are actually better then the systems so developers can go nuts, then maybe take out certain area's and tone down other bits so they still work perfectly on the system, while still pushing the console to it's limits. I'm sure that newer games have a harder time running on the same consoles now then older games do for the same system.
When the next generation consoles are released, the graphics chip's and processor's etc. are so highly technical, that once again, they will easily cope with launch title's, aswell as games for the first few years, because the development tool's arent to the standard of the systems yet. Only into a systems lifespan will the true power of the consoles be unlocked!
