Each story character also has their own stats and special abilities (my site in my signature has a list of what they are on the European Offline version, but for more details, go to PSOW :X).
Everyone else have covered everything else I can think of at the moment, so I'll just continue the discussion.
Hehe, COM assist should be officially known now as the "picture plus the stupid phrase".
Assists only work between certain character pairings (e.g. Vivana and Teifu, Relmitos and Sil'fer (those annoyed me the most)). It also only works when you have a COM partner or when both are COM. It is not very common, 'happened to me a only a few times, once when I was attacking Memoru with Viviana and Master Saligun. I'm also not sure to how much the damage is boosted. Is it x2 multiplier? It can't possibly be infinite, although the block they do (when your move otherwise would have been a match-ending move) blocks off ALL damage.
The EX Meter? Doesn't that just gives you dice bonuses or lets you use Ransom card (lose EX instead of HP)?
