You misinterpreted something though. Bands do want to be on the charts and they want to be famous and sure why not some bucks, but every musician has the same reason no matter who they are or what kind of music they make/write.

Maybe so, but sunshine and rainbows don't pay the bills and get you stuff like a BMW Z4 and TVR T350, also, my music equipment don't grow on trees, it costs money, and unlike those £200 tack jobs you see in Argos, mine cost a lot more, £3,500 keyboards don't fall into my outstreatched hands, after deductions of tax, expenses, paying my employees and buying new equipment as well as transportation, I probably don't get much more than anyone else, a few grand a month if I'm lucky, which is usually spent on designer clothes, because if I look good, people recognise me, they want to hire me, and most importantly, I feel good about myself.
