Okey Dokey. I did suddenly remember something i changed in the settings yesterday, but i then realised that that was changed for PSOProxy and has nothing to do with the game!

Your 'Speedtouch Connection' and 'Local Area Connection' should both contain the word 'Shared' in the little greyed out area's as mine is in this screenshot (Note it doesn't say it under my 'Local Area Connection' anymore since changing it to compensate for my new connection):

When you said you clicked ignore disconnected hardware, try not doing so, and i'm sure i clicked the hardware that it comes up with... The one that is displayed is the one you need to get your 'Local Area Connection' working anyways, try selecting it...
If that doesn't do anything, right click your 'Speedtouch Connection', click the 'Advanced' tab, and see if any of the following areas are ticked, they should be as in this screenshot:

If that doesn't work try doing the same with the 'Local Area Connection'. If that doesn't work, fiddle around with the Firewall settings possibly to see if that maybe blocking your network connections... Just keep trying!
