Hmmm......i think that this could be shit or bust for them here. The cost initially may put some people off, but give it a few months and the Playstation brand name will carry it through to worldwide success, we all know this. Then Nintendo with their new offering. From what has been said/rumoured this console is likely to be the cheapest at around $200-$250 maybe so when speaking of affordability they win.but nravolution is the worse in these new generation consoles, yes it's cheapest, but xbox360 will also lower price, same for the ps3.
Depends on what people are willing to spend at first. Even a decent Nintendo set-up at launch will be close to $400 with software and extra controller but i suppose this does look cheap when compared to the $800 that a decent Ps3 set-up is likely to be, but sony have a good following with their PS brand as i already hinted so make your choices. Adding also that whatever the launch price of Ps3, it will still be a cheap Blu-ray player and a game console.
The difference here this time is that one of the big 3 is now offering you an alternative gameplay choice for your money.
and one thing nintendo never do is beting in quality.
