so getting high rolls shouldnt be a prob...
have you tried an exp decoy deck? preferably arkz side, whip out a few mid level monsters (say merlan, del-d etc) to take out any early equipment he decides to use, and giving you some experience quick, then put into play exp decoy monsters like love rappies and that exp decoy card (ransom?)
that should at least annoy him
(by the way i havent played this game in a little while but now i want to ^_^ )
ummm, how about using rufina ( ranged attacks, double ap with attack cards) and placing 3 al rappies around you (1front 1left 1right) and take a number of worthwhile of attack cards (preferably with a good range of there own) and techniques (for the rappies)
now he should find it hard to attack your SC with most weapons, whilst you should be able to get him, and each time he takes out a rappy, you'll be able to replace it as it returns to your hand. and of course stick defence cards for when he does get chance to hit you.

if he uses a number of equips, take endu, some (pierce & rampage?) cards and monsters, and charge him, fill up the rest of the deck with defense cards as you are gonna need them, and hope XD
mimic him! take as many cards as you see him use, replace those you cant with better or suitable cards and give him a taste of his own medicine
ook thats all i got for now, until i actually play the game and figure out that all the tactic i just gave you wont work against anybody ^_^
