You had a Kaithaba. (Kind of orange colored too, right?) You got a Kama because the stat ratio changed.

Kaithaba requires something like DEX > POW > MIND, but Kama is POW > DEX > MIND (depending on ID and class).

Go to http://www.ragol.co.uk/mags.shtml and that should help you.
