There are too many problems with patching console games unless they are stored on a console hard drive (like on PS2 - FFXI) and not many people have those. The XBOX(360) has one, and you can buy one for the PS2 - but the GC has none! MMO games haven't been so successful on GC as they have been on PC/other consoles.
