PSO+ just updates your saves, it doesn't transfer it anywhere. The only real update it does it just adding + in PSO lol The disk itself is what mainly updated, not the save files itself.

And no you don't get to use your PDs, they are only used online. What you do get is a little higher magic resistence from enemies, glitch fixes, and 4 new quests offline. If you are going online, it saves you from lobby corruption and double saves.
