Ethan and Extra Mode characters can use wands up to the B level. You'll be able to buy them in Chapter 3 I believe is where they first become available at the GRM shop. Online only Force characters can use them though. Also... some Photon Arts are intensely useful and should be trained regularly. An example being Rising Crush. Use those Photon Arts, you won't regret it, because for the grand majority of them, every 10 levels it gets a new attack added to its combo! Rising Crush can hit a total of 8 times when it's at least at level 21.
