If you get SA2 you can remove the animal parts using one of the "Ghost" animals which give special effects.

Also, you may have been able to erase them using a GBA on the gamecube. But since you're on DC I don't know what options you have!

Chao's seem to fly a lot when put on the high walk in the Hero Garden in SA2B.
