You can go into any ship or game. But if you intended to think seriously about doing c-mode, you need to know some rules.
Most/all of the c-mode games will have a C1 or C4 sort of text in the string. That shows what stage they are doing. Do NOT go into a game that is C9 if you want to do C1. Only go into the game if it's the right level.
If you are a force, don't use any power mats, or def mats on yourself. Instead, drop them at the door to the next room. If you don't know the next door, just say "Power mat" or something and drop it. Someone should come and get it. If not, pick it up again, and drop it in the next room.
The same with a hunter. Don't use tech discs on yourself or monofluids.
