This is an accurate representation of us. XD We're birds, we fly where we wish to, regardless of what any 'god' thinks we can or cannot. We defy the laws of it. We shouldn't be able to fly, but we can. We don't need people or idiots telling us what we're doing goes against some dude nobody's ever talked to except in delirium, and when they pray for retribution on their death beds.

Another reason for wanting to colonize other planets, summed up by Armbrust. "Man is avarice, therefore he is man." We're not content with what we have, we want more. Your so-called 'god' made us this way, if that's true, so you have no reason nor grounds to whine your emo ass off about what you think can and cannot be done by people much smarter than you.

Seriously, fool. These are scientists. They have been taught in the most world-renowned universities and laboratories to ever grace this world. You, with your high-school diploma or what the hell ever cannot hope to contend with their intellect and abilities in the field of science, so I suggest you either study for the ten, twelve years or so in one single field of science, or shut the hell up.
