PS2 version on PS3 assistance...

Hi Guys,
I've actually been a member for years but haven't posted very much...
I was just wondering.
Have any of you ever had a problem using a keyboard with PSU on a PS3 or PS2?

I have a logitech wireless keyboard. It works fine for sending message son the ps3 and it also works with Final Fantasy XI but for some reason nothing shows up when I type in Phantasy Star Universe.
Is there a setting that I need to turn on?
