lol im on year 21 and im not making any real progress, i beat raem awhile ago, kept playing, and for some reason the dragon zombie keeps kicking my a** then i go to fight the antlion at lynari, got my a** kicked, eventually killed him and got a desert fang :\
Anyway Ivan, you're going to need to go to river belle path and find the water "elemental hot spot" and drop the chalice in, you'll need to adapt to different elements for different miasma streams until year 5 when you can go to lynari and get the "holy" element which neutralizes them all.
