They could remove them, if they implement a patch that loads on start up. Of course, the disc would have to be programmed to look for the patch and alter the memory card so it knows that every time the game is loaded, it has to look for a patch.
This is probably too late now for the GC but it has happened on the Xbox to my knowledge. |
