I have several characters and was handed a hacked mag from another user. At the time, I was rather naive and thought its high level was due to its unusual evolution (in this case, a Robochao). While it was fun for a while doing in excess of 1000 damage with a lowly level 60 Hunter. I soon dumped it though and started levelling my old level 50 mag to full strength.
My conclusion is that hacks take away a lot of the fun to be had playing the game. Since then I have not used a hacked mag and have avoided accepting very rare gifts from other players (as they are usually duplicates). Besides, half the fun is getting all excited when you pick up a red container!
Incidentally, I didnt think that SECRET GEAR was all that rare. I had that very rare long before I ever got online and learned the about duplicate items. The rare im really hunting for now is a GOD\Technique for my Hunter... does anyone know if it increases your techs beyond maximum level (ie. for a HUmar can you use lvl 18 techs with it) ?
