I don't know what it stands for, but I do know it was the year the weapon was created. The year depends on certain items like the agito. You need an agito 1985 to talk to the tekker in the offline quest "Seek My Master". He'll change it into a more power oriagito.

There are Auw's on agito's flowen's sword, sange, yasha, and kamui. Other's too but I can't remember them all.

Tsk Tsk, Ivan it's 1975, not that it matters. Lol! It's probably Authenticity Utility Make or something like that. NM I really have no clue about it, I'm no good with acronyms :'(
