The game has also appeared on the SEGA of America website.

The differences between Phantasy Star Online, Episodes I & II, and Episodes I & II Plus are, it's simply an updated version of the original creating more of the online aspects of the game available in offline play of the game for those who are maybe unable to play with the rest of the world.

According to webpage, the game will feature the following:
  • Quests and Mini-games from PSO I & II that were previously only available online.
  • Three Episode II Quests: 'Seat of the Heart', 'The East Tower', and 'The West Tower'.
  • Five multiplayer Challenge Mode stages.
  • and Two Downloadable Mini-games: NiGHTS - Score Attack and Puyo Pop.
