Madcatz 1x Uncorruptable?

ok i had a gamester memory card, i leveled offline then when i got my modem i connected to PSO and some error came up, told me to turn my GC off and my pso data got completely erased. i made a new char conected and the same thing happened.
i phoned sega asked them about it, the sega man asked sumone, came back and told me "you cant really use 3rd party memory cards on PSO because the way it saves, you can only connect safely with an official memory card"
wich ment i went and bought a new memory card, and its been fine. its the 251 memory (black one) and its fine, i mean ive FSOD'd and stuff, but its never let me down (touch wood)

thats sad if i had my chars erased i would either do one of these:
1. quit PSO completely
2. snap my pso disk in half for losing it
that is how much i care about pso
