He means that what time you play affects drops/rare monsters.
The die hard PSO (or should that say most well informed/experienced ^_^
say that beat time affects nothing.
Personally, I say that each ID has a certain beat time that makes rare monsters appear more. Nothing to do with drop, but the actual monsters. In this case, if you get 3 rappies at one time for example, and 2 drop their rare, it looks like beat time affects drop rates. But in fact, it's just affecting their appearance and you've been lucky enough to get their rares.
And until someone posts the actual game code that calculates what drops from a monster, or rare monster appearance, I'll still think that. Yes I know barb says that each time a map is generated a random seed value is created and this is what determines what monster combination you get. It doesn't exclude that fact beat time or ID might affect it.
