on the hero side against the leukon knight, i used guykild and a powermaser, that way even when he changed to his 'only hurt by techs mode' it didnt matter and i could still do damage, equip other weapons too for more damage and extra protection and you should be fine.
agianst castor i suggest using cheaper, high(ish) hp monsters to keep her cornered and have enough of them to replace any losses and keep away from her with your story character, use one with a high move value
