ranger and partisans why

Why do rangers use partisans? The same reason they use sabers, twin sabers, claws, and certain daggers: quite simply, because they CAN. This has become one of my peeves. I've had people complain to me when they see me using a melee weapon with my rangers, even in single player... I mean wtf? Please excuse me, I'm sorry for using my Twin Brand because obviously it affects YOU when you're not even playing. ¬_¬ (that wasn't directed at anyone here, it was just more of a general rant)

It's not like you're hurting anyone by meleeing. If you can cut it, why not? I mean, I'm not gonna melee if I'm having problems with the level; I start out with the Frozen Shooter and Spread Needle, and then I start to melee once I'm slightly comfortable in that level. The game becomes monotonous when you use the same weapon too often... and this is especially true for rangers because gun animations themselves are monotonous.

Even if you're online, you're not really detracting from the team depending on the situation. If you go meleeing against big monsters in multiplayer, yeah, that's kinda dumb... you should freeze them if possible. But ranger "duties" aren't... or at least, shouldn't be... a one-size-fits-all policy.

My RAmar carries a Frozen Shooter, Spread Needle and Twin Psychogun... but he also carries a Red Saber, Twin Brand and sometimes a Soul Eater. And there's nothing wrong with any of it.
