Was Horus one of the traitors or something? I seem to have some Egyptian thing in my mind about a rebellion against oter gods that was led by some god or another.

Thoth is an egyptian god too. He falls into the COOL category. Here's his pic:

It does look pretty weird, but Thoth is a good god. He helped Horus as well. He fixed his eye.

I find it funny that a lot of mythological creatures etc. that spit/use/were born in fire are evil, when fire is one of the greatest advances civilisation has made.

They make them look very scary and say evil things about the creatures, so of course they are evil.
Yet, people have really never seen them everyday.

The reason for this is very obvious. Fire is used more often in relation to distruction rather than creation.
